Major Materials Engineering
Class of 2008
Hometown Morrow, OH
Co-op Experience I spent two quarters each at the National Transportation Safety Board in Washington, DC; Pfizer Global Research & Development in Groton, Connecticut; and Nike, Inc., in Beaverton, Oregon. At the NTSB I performed failure analysis of various parts of airplanes that had been in accidents or incidents of some sort. At Pfizer I worked in a product enhancement lab. Finally, at Nike, I was working with mechanical testing to support finite element analysis (FEA) of shoes.
About Me On campus, I’m involved in Engineering Ambassadors. To a lesser degree, I also participate in Tau Beta Pi (the engineering honorary society) and the University Honors Scholars Program. In my elusive spare time, I enjoy traveling, skiing (I have to travel in order to ski, so that works out well), reading the news, and rooting for the Cleveland Browns. That photo of me is from when my sister and I road-tripped out to Oregon for me to begin my job at Nike– the backdrop indicates that we were somewhere in the middle of Utah.
